Bringing a world-class copper resource responsibly into production

Overview

Omico Copper exists to bring a world-class copper resource responsibly into production.

Through the acquisition of a controlling interest in the Omitiomire project, we have taken an overlooked asset and applied fresh technical thinking, disciplined development planning, and deep in-country experience to unlock its full potential.

Our ambition is straightforward: to build a safe, efficient, and long-life copper mine that creates lasting value for our shareholders, our people, and the Namibian communities we operate alongside.

The project

Omitiomire

Omitiomire is an open-pit copper project located approximately 140 kilometres north-east of Windhoek, in a sparsely populated farming region of central Namibia. The asset benefits from an established mining licence secured through 2036, with renewal available on expiry.

Resource and scale

The project hosts a defined mineral resource of approximately 123 million tonnes at 0.51% copper, with a mineable inventory of around 102 million tonnes at 0.51% copper — supporting total life-of-mine copper production of roughly 520,000 tonnes.

Responsible mining for a sustainable future

Where the asset's earlier studies envisaged a leaching process, our technical review confirmed that around 95% of the orebody is floatable copper sulphide. By transitioning to a flotation flowsheet, we expect to lift copper recoveries substantially — from roughly 73.5% under the previous plan to the high-80s to low-90s percent — improving both economics and environmental footprint. This work sits alongside a full rebuild of the resource model, an optimised mine plan that prioritises higher-grade ore early, and a capital-efficient approach to equipment.

Production and mine life

Once in operation, Omitiomire is designed to produce approximately 26,000 tonnes of copper per year over a 16-year mine life, entirely from open-pit mining.

Competitive economics

Omitiomire is expected to operate at a life-of-mine cost position of US$2.55–2.70 per pound of copper, well below long-term consensus copper prices — providing a healthy margin cushion and resilience through commodity cycles.

Room to grow

The project's exploration licence covers the entire Ekuja Dome, with near-mine and regional targets identified. A funded drilling programme is planned to test this upside early, with the aim of extending mine life and enhancing project value.

Our approach

Sound geology, honest engineering, strong partnerships

We believe the best copper projects are built on sound geology, honest engineering, and strong local partnerships. Our development plan reflects extensive technical diligence — including multiple site visits, independent processing testwork, and cost estimates built from first principles — and draws on our team's direct experience operating in Namibia.

The result is a project we understand deeply and can execute with confidence.
